GRAND MARIAN PILGRIMAGE
With Istanbul, Turkey Day Trip

As Christians, we reach out to God in praise and in gratitude as well as to seek refuge in pain and turmoil. 2020 has truly been a tough year for all. But now more than ever, we need God’s voice to help us navigate our way in the midst of great uncertainties.

DAY -1, FEB 19, SUN: ISTANBUL (B, L)

Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport at ETA: 06:15.   Meet & greet with the Tour Guide.  Welcome breakfast, then, proceed to BOSPHORUS TOUR. We will navigate the Bosphorus strait that separates Europe and Asia continents, in which 60,000 ships pass annually. Then, visit TOPKAPI PALACE, once the seat of the Ottoman Empire. Today, it is a museum palace with a wide collection of porcelain, antiques, holy relics and other treasures.  Proceed to a Turkish Lunch.  Then, visit BLUE MOSQUE, also known as Mosque of Sultan Ahmet, which boasts a unique feature of 6 minarets. Admire its glorious interiors and distinctive blue tiles. Next, view the remains of Hippodrome of Constantinople, consisting of 3 monumental columns and a fountain. You will also visit HAGIA SOPHIA MOSQUE, a must-see attraction due to its religious and architectural significance.  Visit the famous GRAND BAZAAR which is a covered market of the fifteenth century. DAY-1, FEB 19, SUN: ARRIVAL ROME – SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO (D)

Arrival Fiumicino International Airport at ETA: 22:00. Meet and assist with our guide and proceed to San Giovanni Rotondo. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

DAY-2, FEB 20, MON: SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO – ROME (B/D)

Breakfast inside hotel. We will spend our day in San Giovanni Rotondo which is the name of a town and commune in the province of Foggia and region of Apulia. San Giovanni Rotondo was the home of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina from 28 July 1916 until his death on 23 September 1968. We will visit the Shrine of St. Padre Pio, visit the Tomb and Crypt. Transfer to Rome. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

DAY-3, FEB 21, TUE: ROME (B/D)

Breakfast in the hotel. Today, we will discover Rome. Continue Rome tour with a visit to the Roman Colosseum (photo-stop), Roman Forum, Monument Vittorio Emanuelle II, Piazza de Venezia, make a wish at the Trevi Fountain and continue to roam at Piazza di Espagna where you will be given free time. Gather again and proceed to Church for our mass before we continue to hotel for dinner, and overnight.

DAY-4, FEB 22, WED: ROME (B/D)

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Vatican and attend Papal Audience. Then visit St. Peter’s Basilica. Pass by the tomb of Pope John Paul II. We continue with a guided visit to one of the great art collections in the world, the Vatican Museum. We see the Tapestries Gallery, the Belvedere with its marvelous classical statues, the rooms wonderfully frescoed by Raphael, and Michelangelo’s masterpiece, the Sistine Chapel. Visit the patriarchal basilicas of St. Paul outside the walls. Have time for your meditation and private devotion. Free time. Transfer to hotel, dinner and overnight.

DAY-5, FEB 23, THU: ROME – LISBON VIA FLIGHT (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel and check out from the hotel. Transfer to Rome Airport. Flight to Lisbon. Upon arrival, we will start sightseeing tour – see the Tagus River, Marques de Pombal Square, and Liberdade Avenue, pass by Belem Palace, official residence of the President of Portugal. Stop at Belem Tower – icon of the Age of Discovery and the Monument of the Discoveries. Close by is Jeronimos Monastery. See the Baixa, Praca do Comercio, and the Suspension Bridge. We will head to the birthplace of San Antonio de Lisboa (better known as St. Anthony de Padua). Free time. Transfer to hotel for check in, dinner and overnight.

DAY-6, FEB 24, FRI: LISBON – SANTAREM – FATIMA (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel and check out from the hotel. From Lisbon we make our way to Santarem. We visit the Church of St. Stephen in Santarem to view the venerated relic of the Bleeding Host. We then continue our journey to Fatima which is one of the major Christian pilgrimage centers in all Europe. Dinner and overnight will be in Fatima.

DAY-7, FEB 25, SAT: FATIMA (B/D)

Have your breakfast inside the hotel. Free time for personal devotions. We will have mass at The Parish of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima. Then, city tour in Fatima. We will see the Basilica where the tombs of Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta is located; the Chapel of the Apparitions the place where Our Lady appeared; the church of the Holy Trinity; the exposition “Fatima Light and Peace.” Later visit Aljustrel, the village where the shepherds were born. Continue to Valinhos and visit the Stations of the Cross and the Calvary, the site of Our Lady’s 4th apparition and the place where the children received the first and third visit of the “Angel of Peace”. After the visit proceed to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Ortiga and to the Parish Church. Dinner and accommodation will be in the hotel.

DAY-8, FEB 26, SUN: FATIMA – SALAMANCA – AVILA (B/D)

After breakfast we board our coach and motor across the Portuguese-Spanish border to the city of Salamanca, where we visit the Basilica de Nuestra Senora de Penafrancia and the great University of Salamanca, the oldest university in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe. We celebrate mass today at the Basilica. Salamanca has been declared a “World Heritage Site” by UNESCO. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure. Departure for Avila. Ávila is a city in the rolling hill country northwest of Madrid.  Free time. Transfer to hotel for check in, dinner/overnight.

DAY-9, FEB 27, MON: AVILA – MADRID (B/D)

Have your breakfast inside the hotel and check out from the hotel. Departure for Madrid. Upon arrival, visit the Royal Palace and the Almudena’s Cathedral:   The Royal Palace of Madrid is the official residence of the Spanish royal family at the city of Madrid, although now used only for state ceremonies.  Almudena Cathedral is a Catholic church in Madrid, Spain. It is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Madrid. The cathedral was consecrated by Pope John Paul II in 1993. Lunch will be in local restaurant. Free time for shopping. Transfer to hotel for check in, dinner and overnight.

DAY-10, FEB 28, TUE: MADRID – ZARAGOZA – BARCELONA (B/D)

Have your breakfast inside the hotel. Today we will head to Zaragoza. Visit the basilica of “Our Lady of the Pillar,” where the virgin Mary appeared miraculously to Saint James the Great in the first century, standing on a pillar.  Free time for souvenir shopping in the afternoon. Continue to Barcelona. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check in, dinner and overnight.

DAY-11, MAR 01, WED: BARCELONA (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we will have full day city tour in Barcelona. The fantastical Sagrada Família church and other modernist landmarks designed by Antoni Gaudí dot the city. Museu Picasso and Fundació Joan Miró feature modern art by their namesakes. City history museum MUHBA, includes several Roman archaeological sites. See the Plaza Espana, Plaza Real, Plaza Catalunya, Olympic Stadium, Christopher Columbus Monument, Arch of Triumph and the La Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Barcelona’s most famous landmark and Gaudi’s unfinished master-piece. Free time. Proceed to Montserrat Monastery. We will also visit the Black Madonna of Montserrat, one of Spain’s most fervent devotions to the Blessed Mother. Dinner and overnight will be in the hotel.

DAY-12, MAR 02, THU: BARCELONA – GIRONA – LOURDES (B/D)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Enjoy a full-day in the north part of Catalunya, visiting the cities Girona and Figueres. Start with Girona, an impressive medieval center. Walk through the Old Town and Passeig Arqueologic, visit the Cathedral built in gothic-baroque style, dating from 1416, and pass through the Jewish quarter-The “Call”. Afterwards, proceed to Figueres, the birthplace of Salvador Dalí, the surrealist spanish painter. Enjoy a guided visit of the Museu de Dalí, the most visited museum in Spain, after Prado, which hosts most of the artist’s unique works. Proceed to Lourdes. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check in, dinner and overnight.

DAY-13, MAR 03, FRI: LOURDES (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today is FREE DAY for private devotion. You may wish to go to the Sanctuary to visit the Underground Basilica, walk the Station of the Cross, take the Holy Bath, drink the water or wash your face in the Grotto, or participate in the veneration of the sick pilgrim. In the evening, join the emotive candlelight procession.

DAY-14, MAR 04, SAT: LOURDES – PARIS (B/D) (By Train)

After breakfast at the hotel, we will check out from the hotel. We will take a fast train to Paris. (We will send our luggage’s by our bus). Upon arrival, we will get in our private bus and start to discover Paris panoramically by bus.  In the evening, sightseeing river cruise aboard Bateaux Mouches Cruise is included. Dinner then continues to hotel for overnight.

DAY-15, MAR 05, SUN: PARIS (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to your half day guided city tour of Paris. Visit Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, see the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, Les Invalides, and the Louvre Museum (outside). Afterwards, free time. Transfer back to hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY-16, MAR 06, MON: PARIS (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we will visit Versailles Palace. The Palace of Versailles is a former royal residence located in Versailles, about 12 miles west of Paris, France. After visit the palace, we will have shopping in La Vallee Village. Transfer to hotel and resting. Farewell Dinner and overnight will be in the hotel.

DAY-17 PARIS END (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and check out from the hotel. Free time for the rest of the stay in Paris. Transfer to airport for flight back to Manila.  ETD in CDG: 18:40

  • Reservation / Booking Confirmation: PhP25,000.00/person is NON-REFUNDABLE

  • Pilgrimage Tour Rate is minimum of 30 pilgrims per group.

  • SUPPLEMENTARY RATE will apply if group will fall less than 30 pilgrims per group.

  • OPTION: Client may choose a different travel dates if group is less than 30 pilgrims.

  • 50% cancellation fee is to be charged on or before 90 days prior to arrival

  • 75% cancellation fee is to be charged on or before 60 days prior to arrival

  • 100% cancellation fee is to be charged 30 days prior to arrival including no show
